"The Corelli School is to take all steps to develop excellence in the performing and visual arts, combined with academic achievement, in a select group of young people."
Jane Sohn, Susan Mostert and Jamie Oemcke Hill competed in the IRMT Scholarship weekend on September 11th & 12th, and ‘did Corelli proud’! The best of Auckland’s young pianists compete in this event, so the competition is very stiff. Jane won 1st and 2nd places and will be performing in the finals of the Sonata Class this coming weekend.
Jamie won 3rd place in his class- (a wonderful achievement as it was his first competition) - and Susan gave a faultless account of her Bach. Their dedication and success is an example to all our younger pianists.
Well done, you three!! Congratulations!
At the IRMT Scholarship competition, Jane Sohn went on to win the finals of the Sonata Class last weekend. Well done, Jane!! Congratulations.
