Music Foundation Course Year 13

Below are details for the specialised Year 13 course, commencing 2006.

  • 12 track CD (finished by September).

  • Compile DVD show reel (finished by October).

  • Keyboard harmony (45 mins per week).

  • Harmony (45 mins per week).

  • Aural / Choir (1 hour, 20 mins per week).

  • Lunchtime concerts (weekly).

  • 6 Concerts in Auckland (throughout the year) e.g. Bruce Mason, Auckland Library, Auckland Art Gallery etc.

  • 1½ hr 1st Study (2 x 45 mins per week).

  • 1 hr 2nd study (2 x 30 mins per week).

  • 6 visiting workshops (throughout the year).

  • Production (Term 2).

  • 7th Form Show (Term 3).

  • Sound Engineering (45 mins per week).

  • Complimentary Tickets throughout the Arts; (Jazz, Classical, Rock).

  • ‘Pro’ Group (student based, performing at a professional level) 1 hour rehearsal per week, using school facilities.

  • Teaching Experience Class (45 mins per week).

  • Photo Shoot.

  • 1 week as Pro Sound and Lighting Tech on the road (Tour) with “Xytech Audio and Lighting” Auckland, (completion certificate awarded).

  • Senior School Tour (Term 4 )

  • CD Artwork.

  • Common Room.

  • 100 Units Full Colour CD Duplication with New Frontier Records.

  • Orchestra.

  • Composition (2 major works) on CD.

  • Senior P.E. and Life Skills.
